British quartet face French test

year he won the men’s second draw singles and the junior boys singles at the British Open and won junior titles in events in the Netherlands and Poland in August. He ended the year with a senior ranking of 77 and is fifth in the world in the junior ranks, one place ahead of Phillipson who won his first international senior main draw singles title in Cardiff in October.Whiley, 14, enjoyed a successful 2006 with girls’ singles wins in the Netherlands and Poland and a main draw success in Cardiff.She ended 2006 with a senior world ranking of 47 and a junior ranking of three, one place ahead of compatriot and regular doubles partner Hunt.Hunt, 15, is the only one of the British quartet to have previous experience of the tournament after she made her debut 12 months ago.
