Ferrero moves on in Acapulco
Acapulco, Mexico - Top-seeded Spaniard Juan Carlos Ferrero moved into the second round at the $690,000 Abierto Mexicano Telcel event with a 7-6 (7-3), 4-6, 6-3 victory over Italian Potito Starace.Fourth seed Juan Ignacio Chela of Argentina also moved into round two by defeating fellow countryman Sergio Roitman, 6-3, 6-2. The 2000 Acapulco titlist Chela was last year’s runner-up here to Peru’s Luis Horna.Also Monday, Argentine qualifier Juan-Pablo Guzman downed American Kevin Kim, 6-4, 6-2; Frenchman Nicolas Devilder got past Italian qualifier
