ARGENTINA’S Juan Monaco defeated Italy’s Potito Starace 5-7 6-3 6-4 to win the 646,250 euros ($1 million) Austria Open today (AEST). Monaco, 23, won in 2Ѕ hours, his third ATP title and his second in Austria, following victories at Buenos Aires in February and Poertschach in May.
The No.5 seed, from Buenos Aires, is the third successive Argentinean to win at Kitzbuehel, following Agustin Calleri last year and Gaston Gaudio in 2005.
