ARGENTINA’S Gisela Dulko claimed the third WTA title of her career when she ousted top seed Anabel Medina Garrigues from Spain in the final of the Morocco Open.
The 23-year-old No.2 seed from Buenos Aires won through 7-6 (7-2) 7-6 (7-5) over Medina Garrigues for her first title of the season and third after Budapest and Forest Hills last year.
It was the second victory for 62nd-ranked Dulko over her more experienced Spanish opponent in three meetings.
Their previous ties in 2005 were on hard surface - with Dulko winning in Doha and Medina Garrigues in New Haven.
